MENDHAM, NJ – BlinkNow’s Kopila Valley Model, based in Surkhet, Nepal, has been honored for outstanding environmental achievement in the 2026 International Green Apple Environment Awards.

Selected from more than 700 entries worldwide, the award marks the first time BlinkNow’s efforts to train and support other grassroots leaders have been recognized on a global stage. Over the past nearly two decades, BlinkNow has built an eco-friendly community ecosystem in rural Nepal that combines environmental sustainability, quality education for under-resourced children, and economic opportunities for local women.

Now, BlinkNow is actively sharing everything it has learned so that other communities around the world can benefit. Through a free annual leadership summit, hands-on training cohorts for nonprofit leaders, public school mentorship, and a digital library of practical toolkits, BlinkNow is making it easy for anyone, anywhere to adapt these proven sustainability and education ideas to their own local needs and positively impact local environments.

The Green Apple Awards are organised by The Green Organisation, an independent, nonprofit organization founded in 1994 to recognise, reward, and promote environmental excellence worldwide.

The BlinkNow Foundation provides an education and a loving home for at-risk children in Surkhet, Nepal, and has built an award-winning model for community development. The foundation provides financial support and management oversight to the Kopila Valley programs, which serve children, empower women, improve health, encourage sustainability, and advance social justice to build a brighter future for all. The new eco-friendly Kopila Valley Children’s Village project was completed in 2025.
