Maggie Doyne was recognized by CNN as their Hero of the Year in 2015!

Women’s Creativity in Rural Life

Commerce Award for the Women’s Center

2024: The Kopila Valley Women’s Center received the Janakdash Memorial Award by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI).

Inspiring Woman of the Year

Zayed Sustainability Prize

In 2021 and 2022, KVS was a Finalist in the Global High Schools category, winning acclaim for student-led conservation projects and a learning trip to Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.

Do Something Award

Maggie Doyne was awarded a $100,000 Do Something award in 2009, for her extraordinary achievement as a 21-year-old. These funds built the Kopila Valley Primary School.
