Our mission is changing the world by empowering Nepal’s children. We do this by providing quality education and a safe environment, and by inspiring others. Our core values—Gender Equality, Economic Empowerment, and Environmental Sustainability—are the roots that allow our entire community to thrive and grow strong.

What’s New for 2026

We’re watching our family settle into the new Kopila Valley Children’s Village. This isn’t just a set of buildings; it is a safe, sustainable, family-style community built with earthquake-resistant construction, solar power, and water-saving systems.

The kids have been organizing their belongings, we’ve been adding books to the new library, and soon spring will bring the blooming of all our new plants. We’re also excited to see how the staff thrive in the community program headquarters, with gathering spaces to host visitors and share our learning with other organizations.

We are also looking forward to:

• Watching students grow academically, physically, emotionally, and socially at Kopila Valley School. The little ones who just started in Pre-K, it feels, are now in middle school. Those who were just in middle school will graduate soon. Time flies!
• Enjoying the great outdoors with our place-based learning and Education for Sustainability curriculum. Students are getting their hands dirty in class garden plots and studying the effects of weather patterns on our region.
• Seeing the Women’s Center participants learn new skills and put them to use, watching as their confidence and social networks grow in tandem with their skills.
• Learning together with our Leadership Development Program participants, who are taking Kopila lessons into their own communities.

But the biggest and most exciting thing to watch: our growing network of graduates, who are out in the world studying at university, starting businesses, and making a positive impact in healthcare, education, communications, and many more fields. These young adults are living their own new stories.

We are so lucky to have you walking this journey with us. You are a vital part of every story we tell and every life that is changed in Surkhet. Thank you for being part of the BlinkNow family and for helping us build a brighter future in Nepal.
