For the past year, Srijana has been quietly, yet powerfully, changing lives through the Himsakti Foundation – driven by one simple belief: when girls are given opportunity, confidence follows.

But her story did not begin with a foundation. It began as a young girl.

A young girl with immense passion. 

Big dreams. 

A heart that wanted more from life.

And somewhere along the way, she realized something powerful:

If one opportunity could change her life, it could change someone else’s too.

Srijana was just a young girl driven to do big things in life, when she found Kopila Valley School. She also found her confidence in soccer, which she has played regionally, nationally, and even internationally. When she realized what a little passion can do for confidence, she wanted to do something for the young girls in her community. 

So she set up a charity. Based in Karnali Province, the Himsakti Foundation works with young girls who often grow up with limited access to sports, leadership spaces, and platforms to dream freely.  By building soccer skills in these young people, Srijana has created more than just a training program. She has built a safe space where girls learn teamwork, discipline, resilience, and self-belief.

With a committed team of seven executives and five board members, Srijana and Himsakti have selected girls aged 6-19 from 10 different districts of Karnali Province for a three-year training campaign. Their journey has just begun for these young women. The initial plan is simple but impactful: provide structured training, give them exposure through tournaments, and eventually form their own competitive soccer team. 

Srijana couples her work as an HR Manager in Kathmandu with her work and advocacy as  a Founder of Himsakti Foundation. 

This is what love for community looks like.

It looks like returning home.

It looks like creating space.

It looks like believing in people before they believe in themselves.
