DEEPA: The Inspiring Journey Of A Resilient Girl
Deepa is a leader. She is a young woman regarded by her peers as someone to emulate, a friend to look up to. She is a hard worker with her mind set on a future that will lead her to a successful career. Deepa is unfailingly polite to everyone around her.

The remarkable thing about Deepa is that she is such an outstanding and optimistic young woman despite the difficult life she has had. Before coming to Kopila Valley School, she was attending a local public school while tackling chores at her house and looking after her younger brother. She had experienced a tumultuous family situation that resulted in a great deal of instability and stress. In spite of feeling wary and distressed, she always looked forward, with a clear eye on her future. When Deepa arrived at Kopila Valley School, she was ready to transform her life and her fate.
There are some children who have a natural maturity about them, and who are wise beyond their years. That description would definitely apply to Deepa. When she started studying at the school, she learnt to loosen her guard and unravel herself. “I started my sixth grade in Kopila Valley School, and I felt like part of a family, a real family, for the first time. I felt that way from the very beginning. I was welcomed with a sense of belonging, and everybody made me realize that they were there to help me.”
As a young student, she entered the halls of the school with a sense of excitement and apprehension. Excited about the prospect of finally getting an education, Deepa eagerly joined the school. “The school provided me with more than just an education. It also provided me with meals, clean water, and medical care. The school’s emphasis on community service also instilled in me a sense of responsibility and empathy towards others.”
As Deepa progressed through her years at Kopila Valley School, she began to dream about being independent.
She finished her schooling in the year 2017, and soon after, she joined a nearby College to pursue her BBA (Bachelors in Business Administration).
“In the end, I left my school [KVS] with a sense of accomplishment and gratitude. I had grown in ways that I never thought possible, and I had found a path that felt true to who I was. Though there were challenges and setbacks along the way, I had emerged stronger and more resilient, ready to take whatever lay ahead.”
Being a pioneering enthusiast, Deepa wanted to do more, so she secured a job at BlinkNow. It’s been four years and counting that she has been working as an accountant, and she has learned many new sides of life. “Working as an accountant for BlinkNow has been a challenging yet rewarding career path. I am responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. I have people around me who inspire and push me to be the best version of myself.”

Deepa is not done with her career goals yet; she has more to do. She is finishing her MBA and wants to do a PhD in the future. For fun, she exercises, dances and when she has spare time, she loves hanging out with her friends and family.
She shows gratitude toward her 15-year-old self, who never backed down despite seemingly unbeatable obstacles in her way. “You’ve gone through so many things, but you always stood strong for your family. You’ve been in so much pain, but you always put on a smile and that’s why I am here, so thank you!”
One thing that surprises her is the confidence that slowly oozes out every day. As the years go by, it has become clear that this girl is truly a force to be reckoned with. She continues to excel in her career, quickly rising through the ranks and becoming a respected human being.
Blessed is the woman that chases no one, needs no validation, and handles her business like a boss. Her story reminds us of this: do all great things with love, and you’ll be surprised where it takes you.
