The Next Chapter

Sunday, September 24, 2017

We are in the midst of planning a beautiful little family ceremony to celebrate this next chapter of our lives and togetherness up in the mountains. Just a little ceremony with our family of 70! Buzzing with excitement and I don't know how I'll handle watching them all walk down the aisle. Our Nepali wedding celebration is tomorrow, way up high in the Himalayas overlooking the Annapurna mountain range, which is a very special place for me.

Playing in the pool!

I spent today being with our family. We ate meals together, splashed and jumped in the pool, laughed, and went out on boating and waterfall adventures. We pampered ourselves with momos, bowls of ice cream, manicures, and even late night spa treatments in my room before bed just now. Every minute was so special. I feel completely calm and loved and cared for.

Everything feels right today. I keep repeating the words, "Thank you, thank you, thank you" in my head. What a gift I've been given to marry the man I love and expand our family with more love than I ever thought possible. I cannot wait for tomorrow, and at the same time I don't want it to come because I don't want the day to be over.

Adding some Canada into our family!

The women and girls ended tonight sitting in my room on my bed sharing marriage, relationship, and partnership advice. As a wedding blessing, I ask that you share your best piece of wisdom, a story, or advice with me. Thank you for being on this journey with me. You are all here in spirit and in my heart. Night night.

Love, Maggie (The night before the big day!)
