Some Things Can Not Be Quarantined, Like Resourcefulness

This love letter is for our team.

I have so many things to say about the way you have been here for the kids, and our community this year. I have never been more proud to serve on this team together. From our teachers and administration, to our board both in the US and Nepal, our program leaders to our caregivers and support staff, everyone has played a part in making sure we get through this unpredictable and difficult year. You have all showed up. You have all gone above and beyond. I know you have sleepless nights thinking about our kids, our work, your own goals, and to-dos and endless tasks to keep it all going for the children we serve. You’ve gone out of your way to put our kids first and foremost, and do everything you can to keep them safe. I am awestruck by your resourcefulness.

Watching you all gather together to make sure, calls to our students, showing up at homes for distance visits, adapt our curriculum into learning packets and phone calls. Showing up looked different this year and stayed heart-centered and focused on what mattered the most. I know that together, even despite all the work we do, we face heartbreak and challenges, and there are days it all feels impossible, but you show me again and again, that little by little, step by step we can do this. Thank you so much for working so hard for our children, the women and families we serve, our community, country, and our world.

You are the best people I know and I’m so honored to work with you.
