In honor of International Women's Day, our Girls' Club worked hard alongside our Health and Wellness Administrator, Meelan, to organize our 4th annual Race for Equality. The race was initially inspired by our friends at She's the First. Girls' Club spent many hours the week leading up to the race planning the day and recruiting runners. They even visited our new school campus construction site to campaign for the run! More than 200 students and staff signed up to run.

Three of our Kopila Valley young adults recently had the opportunity of a lifetime to go on a week-long trek in the Himalayas and see the snow-capped mountains of the tallest range in the world. When these young adults know how much they are capable of achieving and what their talents are, they are better prepared to lift themselves, their families, and their communities out of poverty.

The grass was so green, the sun was setting, and there was the most beautiful rainbow I've ever seen right over the playground. It was 6:30 at night and there were literally hundreds of children there. It took everything in me not to burst into tears.

Het is even voor zessen als ik vanuit mijn kleine slaapkamerraam op het voetbalveld kijk. Drie meiden in knalroze tenue doorkruisen het veld en lopen gestaag richting een van de gloednieuwe voetbaldoelen aan de andere kant van het veld. Ieder een bal onder de voet. // It is just before six when I look at the soccer field through the small window next to my bed. Three girls in hot pink shirts cross the field, making their way to one of the brand-new soccer goals at other end of the land, a ball dribbling at their feet.
