Your $100,000 Vote!

Okay...so, quick update first, and $100,000 supersonic special request, second!

Update: We got hit by a crazy hurricane-like storm last week that broke water pipes and took down electrical wires all through our area. We are on day 7 with no electricity and very very little water. We have two beautiful new little girls living with us in our home and adjusting really well as well as some children visitors from Ramana's Garden staying with us for their summer holiday! It's been busy and I have tons of stories to tell!

I arrived from Surkhet to Kathmandu today and am in my favorite little guest house—I just spent an hour scrubbing dirt off my body and combing bugs out of my hair and now it's about time for a few hours of sleep before my flight early tomorrow AM to Delhi.

Just to catch everyone up: We are one of five finalists for The 2009 DoSomething Award. Dubbed “the Oscars of the youth-service awards,” the annual Do Something Awards "honor extraordinary young people who saw a problem and tackled it." I am on my way home to attend the event where the grand prize winner will be announced. Well, guess what? This is where YOU come in! DoSomething.org wants YOU to vote for the $100,000 DoSomething Award Winner!

If you have a moment, please vote: HERE. (Find the finalist video you like best, then find the tiny thumbs up icon, select and vote! It's that easy...you can vote every day until 12:00pm PST on June 4, 2009!) The button is pretty tiny, tiny, tiny...but it'll get your vote(s)! Please feel free to pass the NEW VIDEO along too—who knows? Maybe they will count views :)

THANK YOU! So much. Sending love from all of us here to—YOU! Maggie
