Dear R,
Julia took this picture of you and I think it captures you so beautifully! I love how you are wearing that bright orange kurta, (you've always loved bright colors) and I love how you are stretching your arms out to fly.
You've always been the shy and quiet and soft spoken one in our family, but you also hold such an amazing place for us all. In our small inner circle everyone realizes how funny and silly you can be. You have the most beautiful singing voice I have ever heard. You sound like an angel when you sing and even though it's hard for you to sing in front of the group, when you get up the courage it always blows everyone away.
I remember when you were learning how to read. It was incredibly difficult for you and you put countless hours and hours and hours learning every syllable and the sound it makes. You had a lot of lost time to make up for and I really admire how you never gave up. Today you are a star student, but you still have to work hard for it, and I'm really proud that you do.
You are a really loyal friend and sister. You make everyone around you feel loved. You are beautiful on the inside and out. I can't wait to see the things you do and I know you'll soar and do incredible things.
I'm proud of you.. So so proud of you and I love you.
